Havasu Area Transit (HAT) system operates a fixed-route and curb-to-curb public transit service to residents of the city and Desert Hills. The fixed-route service operates five routes that originate from a central transfer station. Each bus leaves the transfer station at the bottom of the hour, making up to 24 stops along a fixed route that includes the return trip to the transfer station where passengers may change buses to get to their final destination.
The fare for HAT service is $1 per rider and includes one transfer. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday; 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Curb-to-curb service is available with a 24-hour reservation for riders 65 and older, qualifying disabled persons, and others who live outside the normal HAT service area. Curbside hours are Monday through Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Fares for curb-to-curb service remain at $3 for riders five and older, $2 for qualified disabled persons and riders 65 and older. Children under the age of five (accompanied by an adult) are free for both curb-to-curb and fixed-route service. There is no transit service on Sundays and seven major holidays.
