The Salt River Transit System (SRTS) was founded in 1988 and covers 86 square miles that provides service with nine passenger vans that are equipped with wheelchair lifts.

The transit system provides a demand response service to the general public including people with disabilities, riders going to medical appointments and senior citizens in Mesa, Tempe, and Scottsdale.
